This is a sad fact that parents will have to come to grips with concerning this campus: the area is zoned heavy industrial, and it looks like permits will be approved soon for the cement plant to be built just a mile or so away on the same road. The school property itself is 700 feet from a superfund toxic waste cleanup site. Word is still out on the quality of the soil on the site - that is being tested. The schools did not get the ground water tested, and that is being used for irrigation. Perhaps also for other uses? The air quality is first rate industrial, but NHC figures they can improve on that by putting their largest polluting industries right across the road - whatever doesn't kill them makes them stronger, right?.
